thanks for checking us out!

Looking for a church to attend this Sunday? Maybe you haven’t been to church in awhile, maybe never or you are new to the area. Come be with us. We are a rural, neighbourhood based church, so nothing fancy. We are people seeking to be shaped by the Word of God to be like the One who the Word is about, Jesus Christ. He who says, “Come to me, you who are weary and I will give you rest for your souls.”

  • Happy 2023

We had a great Christmas Season. Our “Merry Christmas In Deed” campaign helped us focus needs close to home and further abroad as we tried to proclaim Christ in some very practical ways. We also enjoyed one another with a special Sunday of re-telling the Christmas story through song. And of course our annual Christmas Eve Candle Light Service that we look forward to each year.

Now it’s 2023! and things are back to normal. Well, sort of. Pastor Alden, who has served as our pastor for many years, has resigned effective January 15. We will miss he and Tracey, however, we are trusting God for the good plans He has for MBC. In the mean time, our Elder Council will oversee our ministry and an interim Pastor will come on to help with preaching and other needs. Our Small Groups, which have become the backbone of our church, will continue as usual.

We are all about Small Groups:

Small groups this Fall is part of a new beginning for MBC. While we’ve had small groups for years, that part of our ministry needed a lot of attention, and then, with Covid, we needed a complete re-boot. We feel that for the Church to be healthy it must put emphasis on being engaged “in” the Bible and “by” the Bible, and there must be deep engagement with one another. In a new vision going forward from the Spring of 2022, we will be seeing our small groups as the primary focus of our church. Sunday morning services will now become a sort of overflow of what God is doing in our midst as we meet in fellowship through the week.

You are welcome to join a groups. Please call the church office at 485-2618 for more information. We have a group meeting Sunday evenings to Thursday in Midland, Belleisle Creek, in homes and in the church. You are welcome!
