Sunday Mornings
Our Sunday morning services (10:30am) are geared for the entire family. During our morning service we offer a full worship experience for your children (Toddler Time: Ages 1 to 5, WOW Kids: Grades K-5), IOS Youth: (Grades 6-12). Your children begin upstairs with the main service and after 10-15 minutes are invited to go to our Children’s center located in the downstairs of the church where they are welcomed by our trained & experienced children’s leaders. Once your children are settled into their program, which run concurrently with the main worship service, they remain there until the main service concludes (usually by 11:45am). If you have children in high school, they are invited to join us in the main service.
Our Sunday service is designed to be a welcoming, friendly, and non-threatening environment where you will be challenged to grow in your faith at your own pace, or if you are new to church you can explore what Christianity is all about. We have a talented and committed worship team (that consists of guitars, drums, bass guitars, key boards, vocalists, etc.) who lead the congregation in an upbeat and contemporary style of worship. We are confident that you will receive a warm welcome in a relaxed atmosphere; we’ll even offer you a cup of fresh hot coffee!
Here at MBC we are committed to seeing people grow in their faith in God and knowledge of His word, the Bible. Our services are inspirational, and challenging, and relevant for today’s society. We seek to talk about things that matter and to encourage one another to make a difference in this world. Through modern, contemporary music, captivating multi-media and through practical & current messages from the Bible you will be glad you came!

ADULTS
Growth Groups //
MBC recognizes vibrant small group ministry as one of the most effective methods of discipleship. Our leadership team has been focused on developing small group ministry as a primary means for connecting members of the congregation to each other and to God – we call these small groups Growth Groups. We currently have four Growth Groups meeting weekly to grow in their relationships with God and each other.
Young At Heart (55+) //
In 2013, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our Young At Heart ministry. Young at Heart is a vibrant inclusive community outreach to people age 55 and over. The average age of someone attending Young at Heart is 65-70, but at least one attendee is over 100! It has been described as "youth group for seniors"!
Young at Heart is a monthly ministry, which meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am. Beginning in June of 2003 with nine people, Young at Heart has experienced a steady growth reaching as high as 100 people (on average we have 75-80 people attending). Many drive nearly an hour to attend, carpooling from Saint John and beyond.
Young at Heart is so much fun the people begin arriving an hour early decked out in the regalia of that month’s particular theme. By 10:30, the church is a buzz; the program is always an hour and a half. They play silly games for half an hour, before enjoying a rousing time of hymn singing. Often a senior will arrive with a harmonica, guitar or some such instrument to chime in with the pianist. In the final half hour there is a guest speaker, guest music or the pastor or will share a devotional. For some, this is their church. The fact that they are loved, prayed for and included is transformational. They then enjoy the Young at Heart ministry team’s fantastic home cooking.
The group has been challenged to carry the love of Christ beyond themselves through visitation, care packages, and supporting other ministries. In 2013, the group supported 8 families with care packages at Christmas. There is never a charge to attend but there is always a basket and guests are invited to make a contribution toward the next meeting, plus we also support our missionaries - Aaron & Erica Kenny who serve with Canadian Baptist Ministries in Kenya, Africa. KIDS AND YOUTH
Skipper Program //
Ages 1-5. Every Sunday At 10:30am
This program runs every Sunday morning from 10:30 until adult worship is finished. It is for children from 1 to 5 years of age. The nursery is play based and introduces children to the Bible with curriculum appropriate for their age.
Delta Program //
KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 5. EVERY SUNDAY AT 10:30AM
The Delta Program from Pioneer Clubs is a new program we will be using this fall. During their time downstairs the children will sing, learn about the Bible, play games and learn new skills, all while earning badges! There will be a large group lesson followed by small groups based on the age of the children. Some of the skills the children will be learning this fall are carpentry, campfire, and sign language! This program has an outdoor/adventure theme so the rooms are decorated accordingly to enhance their experience.
Alpha//
GRADE 6 -12.EVERY SUNDAY AT 10:30AM
This fall we are starting the Alpha Youth Series. This is a series of videos where youth can ask big questions about their faith and grow in faith together as a group. Each week a new topic is covered and a time for discussion is given to discuss their thoughts and opinions. These youth are mentored by the adult leaders working in children's ministry. They are involved in the Skipper Program, the Delta Program and in the corporate worship time with adults.
YOUTH GROUP//
GRADE 6 -12. Every Thursday Night 6:30-8pm
This is a high energy group that hangs out on Thursday nights developing friendships, exploring their faith and serving others. You will enjoy games, devotions, praying together and purpose-filled service work. Come check us out!
